2014 SockFix grouted anchor is launched.
2013 Helifix, Inc. is relocated to Converse, Texas and becomes a division of CRH sister company Halfen USA.
2012 Helifix Group is acquired by CRH plc, the international building materials group.
2010 Helifix NZ is established just months prior to the disastrous Christchurch earthquake in February 2011. Considerable testing, development and use of the Seismic Connector for new build and structural reinforcement upgrades.
2009 Helifix, Inc. is formed and the North American business moves from Toronto to new premises in Streetsboro, Ohio, USA.
2008 Obtain European CE approval.
2005 Formation of Sealwood and the management buy-out of Helifix from the original shareholders.
2001 Start business in India following Gujarat earthquake and subsequently establish a joint venture company to promote the use of Helifix systems.
1999 Significant overseas contract to repair a multi-storey housing complex in Gibraltar.
1998 Helifix North America Corporation, based in Toronto, begins trading. Helifix UK offices move to their current location in Warple Way, London. HeliBar reinforcement used extensively during construction of the Holm Bush Athletes Village for the Sydney Olympics.
1997 Helifix UK factory moves to its current site in North Shields in North East England.
1995 After exhibiting at a show in Prague, Helifix appoints a local distributor in Czech Republic to service market requirements.
1993 The DryFix retrofit tie is launched to the USA market after developing the principle of a mechanically fixed tie, requiring no grouts, resins or mechanical expansion.
1992 The Helibeam System of structural beaming is developed, working with the BRE, Middlesex University and consultants, Curtins, and used on its first project. Helifix Australia begins trading. Obtain ISO9001 approval.
1991 Helifix begins selling products to the American and Canadian markets through a North American distributor.
1990 UK offices are established in London. First major retrofit wall tie project using RetroTies is undertaken.
1987 RetroTie, the first stainless steel helical retrofit wall tie is launched.
1986 UK Factory is set up in Wallsend, Tyne & Wear in the North East of England.
1984 Helifix is formed March 12 1984. The unique helical Hi-Fin design is developed and testing is carried out by Oxford Polytechnic – now Oxford Brookes University. The first tie, made from thin wall copper tube, is launched.
